Vietnam

February 14th - March 1st, 2027 16 Days Adventure | Ancient Culture | Diverse Landscapes

Day 1: February 14th

You’ve made it to Vietnam! Once you arrive to SGN airport you’ll have a private transfer to our hotel located in Ho Chi Minh City. Settle in, shake off the jet lag, and get ready to meet the women you'll be calling sisters after the next 15 days. We kick things off the right way with a welcome dinner street food tour through the buzzing streets of Saigon.

Meals: dinner

Day 2: February 15th

This morning belongs to you. Sleep in, get a massage, treat yourself to a hair spa or a fresh set of nails, whatever your soul needs. This afternoon, we head to my absolute favorite spot for Vietnamese egg coffee and mango toast. Trust me, this duo will change your life. From there, we walk the city: the War Remnants Museum, Independence Palace, and the stunning Saigon Central Post Office. As the sun sets, we board our overnight sleeper train to Da Nang. These cozy four-person private cabs have single beds so you can fully lay down, drift off, and wake up in a brand new destination.

Meals: breakfast

Day 3: February 16th

We arrive in Da Nang and make our way to the charming ancient town of Hoi An. Today is yours, take it at whatever pace you need. Spend it beachside, catch a surfing lesson or float into the sunset on a kayak. Wander the historic streets, and indulge in bánh mì and cao lầu noodles. If you want custom-made clothing, tonight is the night to start. Bring an inspiration photo and local tailors can bring it to life in just 24 hours. As evening falls, catch a lantern boat ride on the river, browse the night market, and if you're feeling spicy, check out the lively karaoke bars.

Day 4: February 17th

We’ll start the day off by visiting the bustling markets to pick up necessary supplies for our cooking class on a local farm. We’re setting off by bicycle on a peaceful bike ride out of the city and into the countryside along the rice paddies on our way to the farm. Fill up your bellies with the delicious cuisine you’ve made and then we’ll float down the river through the water coconut forest in traditional Vietnamese bamboo basket boats.

Meals: breakfast, lunch

Day 5: February 18th

The morning is yours: massage, explore, do absolutely nothing. This afternoon we hit one of the most iconic stretches of road in all of Vietnam, the Hai Van Pass. The coastal views are breathtaking and we'll stop along the way for photos, coffee, and those "is this a green screen" moments. We arrive in Hue for a home-cooked dinner at our guide's house, prepared by his wife. This is the guide we know and love, and he wanted to make this year even more personal and special by welcoming us into his home!! This evening we board another sleeper train heading north to Ninh Binh.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 6: February 19th

Arriving in Ninh Binh, we’ll grab coffee and breakfast at a local cafe, then set off on bikes through the countryside. Limestone cliffs tower above you as you pedal through charming villages and catch glimpses of rural Vietnamese life. In the afternoon, we trade bikes for a sampan, a small traditional wooden boat, and glide through the lush rice fields and rocky outcrops of the Trang An Complex. Serene, peaceful, and unforgettable.

Day 7: February 20th

A scenic hike to the top of Hang Mua Cave begins our morning for panoramic views over Tam Coc's famous rice fields. After, we’ll grab breakfast back at the hotel and have free time to explore the town before we transfer to Hanoi in the afternoon. Tonight we head to Train Street, where you sit at a cafe and a full-size train passes within inches of your table. (Don’t worry though the train comes as scheduled and everyone makes sure the tables are pulled back).

Meals: breakfast

Day 8: February 21st

Let’s explore Hanoi on foot and you'll quickly understand why this city is like nowhere else on earth. Our local guide walks us through the culture, the history, and the organized chaos of it all. Then we hop into traditional red cyclos and get pedaled through the city, winding through the Old Quarter. We’ll crack open a Bia Hoi, freshly brewed beer that costs about $0.25, and soak it all in. For dinner tonight, we’ll stop for my favorite Vietnamese dish: Bun Cha. There's an optional traditional water puppet performance if you want to round out the day with Vietnamese entertainment. Tonight we’ll transfer to Sa Pa.

Meals: breakfast

Day 9: February 22nd

Wake up, fuel up, and pack your trekking bag. Our guide for the next two days is a member of the Hmong Tribe, and she is incredible. We'll trek through rice paddies and remote villages, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant along the way. She'll open up her world to us, sharing what life looks like for the different tribes who call these mountains home. We end the day arriving at our homestay in Ta Van village for a family style dinner.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 10: February 23rd

Day two of trekking takes us through another village and all the way to a waterfall. We'll stop for lunch in the village of Giang Ta Chai before making our descent back to the homestay. But the real highlight comes after: our trekking guide, who I've now trekked with two years running, has invited our group into her home for dinner. Her and her husband will cook for us. If you're noticing a theme here, you're right. The Vietnamese people are some of the most generous and welcoming on the planet.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 11: February 24th

Breakfast is served at the homestay, then we head into Sa Pa to board a daytime sleeper bus to Ha Giang, about a five hour journey. As if trekking through Sa Pa didn’t  impact you to the core, get ready to have the EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME!

Meals: breakfast, dinner

Days 12-15: February 25th - 28th

Ha Giang. Where do I even begin. After breakfast you'll be paired with your motorbike driver for the next three days and together you'll wind through some of the most jaw-dropping mountain roads on earth. Think jagged limestone peaks, hidden valleys, and views that genuinely have no words. We stop along the way for local lunches, discover hidden corners only locals know of, and as part of our commitment to sustainable travel, we'll donate food to a family in one of the remote villages we pass through. Each night we stay in a different homestay, sharing family style dinners with our drivers and ending the night with karaoke.

On day four in Ha Giang we swap the bikes for a vehicle and go caving, swim at a local spot, and visit one of our guides' homes for lunch. We say goodbye to our easy rider and return to the villa where it all began. Soak in the hot tub, have dinner, gather around the campfire, and let it all sink in.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 16: March 1st

This morning we pack up, transfer to Hanoi Airport, and say goodbye to the women who started this trip as strangers and are leaving as sisters. You'll probably cry. We always do. Start planning your next adventure on the flight home because once Vietnam gets you, it never really lets go.

Meals: breakfast
