Day 1: September 5th
Welcome to my favorite country in the world! Upon arriving at Keflavik International Airport early in the morning, your adventure begins. You’ll want to pack swimwear in your carry-on as we’ll head directly to breakfast and then to the Sky Lagoon to relax in a natural hot bath. The 7-step ritual is perfect for rejuvenation after travel. Following this, we’ll check into the hotel before exploring Reykjavik’s downtown area. The evening is yours to continue exploring and maybe enjoy a local pub. There's an optional food walking tour if anyone is interested in trying local Icelandic dishes!

**we will go chasing the Northern Lights on any nights the chance of visibility is high!!
Day 2: September 6th
The scenic journey around the Ring Road begins with the Golden Circle. We’ll explore Thingvellir National Park. There's an optional tour to snorkel between the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia—the only place in the world where this is possible. Next, at Fridheimar Greenhouse, enjoy an amazing farm-to-table lunch that most people say features the best tomato soup ever! The day continues with stops at the active geyser Strokkur and the magnificent Gulfoss Waterfall.

Breakfast + Lunch included
Day 3: September 7th
Our south coast adventure includes stops at Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, showcasing their breathtaking beauty. Dyrholaey cape, the southernmost point of Iceland, and Reynisfjara’s black sand beaches with striking basalt columns are next. We’ll explore Halsanefshellir Sea Cave and view dramatic rock formations before reaching Vik. The day concludes with an ice cave tour through Katla Glacier.

Breakfast included
Day 4: September 8th
Waking up in Vik, our first stop is a must at Skool Beans, a charming coffee shop in a remodeled school bus. From there, the route continues east through the Eldhraun lava field to Fjadrargljufur Canyon, a stunning location famously featured in one of Justin Biebers music videos. The journey leads to the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, where kayaking among floating icebergs offers an unforgettable experience. The icebergs wash up on the shore of Diamond Beach, giving off a shimmering appearance in contrast to the volcanic black sand- earning its name. I could sit on this beach for hours. I mean… its STUNNING.

Breakfast included
Day 5: September 9th
Traveling through the scenic Eastfjords, we’ll stop to admire Mt. Vestrahorn’s picturesque landscapes. Along the way, we will make several stops to take in the scenery before arriving in Egilsstadir. We’ll relax at Vok baths, soaking in warm geothermal waters after a full day of exploration.

Breakfast included
Day 6: September 10th
The day begins with a hike and descent into Studlagil Canyon, renowned for its dramatic basalt columns and turquoise water. It is SO beautiful!! Continuing through the vast Modrudalsoraefi highlands, we’ll visit Dettifoss, Europe’s most powerful waterfall. Getting close to it is magnificent! We’ll head to explore the area of Lake Myvatn and visit a few more sites for the afternoon.

Breakfast included
Day 7: September 11th
Today we’re heading toward the northernmost part of our trip to Husavik. This is the whale watching capital of Iceland, so of course we are going on a whale watching tour! There are very high chances of seeing both Humpback and Blue whales here. From there, the route leads west to Akureyri, the “capital of the north”. Enjoy a free afternoon exploring this charming town as this is the first “real sized” town you will see in the countryside! This town has the cutest heart shaped traffic lights.

Breakfast included
Day 8: September 12th
As we head back SouthWest towards Reykjavik, we’ll be stopping along the Kolugljufur waterfall and Grabrok Crater. Arriving in Reykjavik, the afternoon is yours to do as you please in the city. Consider visiting one of the many museums, shopping, going to a lava show, or getting a tattoo (I got my very first tattoo here!). If you’re up for another geothermal bath, visit secret lagoon- Icelands oldest geothermal bath!
Breakfast included
Days 9: September 13th
On the final day, enjoy breakfast before checking out of our hotel and visiting the Blue Lagoon for one last group experience. From there, we’ll head to the airport together. It’s time to reflect on this unforgettable experience. Say farewell to the new friends you’ve bonded with over the past 9 days and if you’re anything like me you’ll shed a few tears! (You can start planning your next adventure on your return flight).
See you around the world next year :)
